What are these little red bumps on the back of the mouth near my tonsils?
So .. I woke up this morning and I had one, strange sensation of dryness of the throat. I .. oh .. not the man of another sore throat! However, this does not feel like others, I have an evil throat had recently. Thus, only a few minutes ago, I decided to look at the back of the mouth with a flashlight and I only seen about 5 red bumps, and pimples .. some were in the many pillars in front of my tonsils, and two others went to the back of the throat. I am sure I have no fever .. just a pain in the throat which is not rough like most sore throats tend to be … Is this normal? Moreover, I have swollen tonsils and red and pink last time I checked.
This perhaps could be the beginning of angina strep or a cold or another type of infection. If the bumps on the back of the throat are "bumps like" which means they have a cap white on them, is certainly a sign of some sort of infection. A few red bumps (if they do not have a white bump on top) are usually quite normal. I would not worry too much anyway, unless you have to feel bad, the bumps have a head white with time, or fever.
