Painful Acne Bumps
Painful Acne Bumps
Has anyone received steroid injections to get rid of the blows caused by scar tissue?
Hello. Some time ago, had a cyst acne very painful. Now it is a large bump protruding from the skin, but fine looking skin top. My dermatologist says it is scar tissue under the skin of cyst and is starting to give me injections of corticosteroids. Has anyone had this? Will you come down?
Yes, I have had this done on several occasions and made wonders for me! I was so happy with them, I refer to them as my shots "miracle." You can have this injection both made by beating acne new and old. The dermatologist will inject a right of cortisone into the skin and cause inflammation down. Every time I had done this, the bump was gone within 24-48 hours. Before it is made, however, I would ask the doctor who performed a couple of questions. I would ask how many times they have completed this procedure and the results that his patients have had. If the doctor does not put enough medicine in the place, not going to disappear completely and have to go back and another shot to do. It is not that bad of a situation because most doctors will give a free tracking visits to inject a bit more to make disappear completely. This is the cautious approach. On the other hand, if the doctor injects too much of the drug in the area, it may become a "trademark by Acne Scar "in that region. The doctor I had visited it a bit and this procedure usually is injected just enough to make it go away without leaving a scar, so an experienced dermatologist is a necessity. Another thing I found was that my health insurance does not cover the procedure. In his view, it is "cosmetic" and not "necessary." Once I got a pimple that got bad enough to require a cortisone injection, I have paid my life savings to get rid him, but just something else to consider when deciding whether or not to. Hope this helps and best of luck with the shot!
