Is this type of acne induced by hormones?
I have 23 years of age and last year I had an episode of big break that came out of nowhere. Finally subsided to 8 months of use of doxycycline and continuous use of the retinol cream A. Now I'm getting this mild acne around the side of my face near the side of the pins and jaw sometimes. Especially when it's before my period and the sad thing is that after my period dun disappear immediately, or leave marks that takes forever cured or remain, is this really hormones induced depending on the location? N How I can help? I feel that my hormones are out of touch and I dun really want to get on Accutane or birth control for something mild.
All acne is hormone induced. Not that their hormones are out of line, but simply means that you are not hormonally stable. If the acne is not terribly bad, then some of the product from the peroxide benzoyl may be good enough for you. If not, then you need prescription products such as antibiotics. Good luck.
