Cystic Acne Injections
No side effects from Retin-A?
I just finished my first month on Retin-A , there is a diffrence in my acne now, i mean there still 1 cystic pimple thats been on my face in the same spot since jan 2. i got injections on that one pimple it will go down then a few days later fill up again. but with the retin-a my face is a lot smooth it seems as the pimples went away and turned into scars but i still get super tinyh ones, about how long does it take retin-a to fully work? and How come im not getting these side effects people complain about such as horrific drying, scaling, chapped lips etc , i wake up and my face ffeels even more oily after sleeping with the retin-a. am i puttin too little on my face?
No, you’re not putting too little on–if it seems to be working then don’t change anything! I was on retin-A for a while and did have extremely dry skin, lots of redness, etc. Looking back though I think I was way overusing it. (My adolescent mind reasoned: if a little bit works, a lot must work BETTER!) I honestly think it works best if you use as little as possible to cover your entire face. Don’t spot-treat pimples with it. And it’s not a magic balm–you will still get pimples; hopefully though they’ll be smaller, go away faster, and your skin will be relatively smoother and not as red/blotchy looking with it.
Acne SUCKS, I suffered w/ it until i was 24 and nothing really worked well, but it will go away eventually. Use the retin-A steadily, and sparingly, and you should be able to keep it somewhat under control.
