Acne Bacteria Treatment
acne treatment blue light … Has anyone been successful?

There is a light blue that has been approved by the FDA as a treatment for acne. To shine this light on the side that is supposed to kill bacteria on the skin that would otherwise cause breakouts. Is it effective and what their instructions are recommended for use if it is?

Hello! I have had many treatments and lots of blue light … many offices. The first experience I had with them was in the 06 'and I was pregnant, so it was really the only safe treatment could do for my acne. Yes, it is effective if enough of them. The recommended amount is 8-12 individual treatments (About 2 treatments a week for 4-6 weeks). One or two treatments is not enough If you have cystic acne and is very red. The instructions are not really important because the nurse at the derm office know what to do, and be ready accordingly. There are no side effects of light, but still need to wear safety glasses. Probably some caution. Also, if you get a microdermabrasion before some of the treatments, which will help the light to penetrate more deeply. Also can make a beta-peeling first elevator (which is salicylic acid) and this will also help the effectiveness of light and help dry sebacious glands … is which produces the oil that causes acne. Be sure to wash your face before treatment and have enough of them before expecting great results. Blu light is an alternative impressive to topical acne medications, be patient, and so on. Good luck:)
