How can i help my acne?

Ever since I was little ( grade 5 ) I have had bad acne. Its starting to decrease but, my father was saying that once your body gets used to the new substance in your body, the acne will go away. ( is that true?) I have tried everything ( ProActive, and all that stuff). Now I am using vinegar and water and also Birth Control for it. I was wondering if anyone would know something else that worked for you, that I could try.

I’ve had acne for a while too. Best thing to do is go to a doctor like I did, he gave me this ointment, it went down a lot.
