Can a diabetic condition trigger body acne?
My 35 year old sister has been diagnosed with diabetes a year and a half ago. Despite taking maintenance medication, she is not insuln injections because it could regulate their blood sugar levels through diet. Outbreaks had become itchy and I'm concerned about her and maybe some suggestions are welcomed in some OTC products that can work to reduce or eliminate no acne. thanks
Yes What is your control, such as? The fact that she can survive without insulin that does not automatically mean that their control is good. blood sugar and high insulin levels can contribute to high breakouts, as both are inflammatory conditions and high blood sugar promote growth bacteria. Moreover, many type 2 diabetics are overweight and have high levels of cortisol, also trigger acne. They may also have dry skin if your control sugar in the blood and circulation is poor. Not sure her "acne" is reduced? This is very serious because it can become infected in diabetics leading to amputation in severe cases of very. She may also have some, no other conditions, some related to diabetes. Please see your doctor. Meanwhile, oatmeal baths can help with the itching. There are also special creams on the market for very dry skins diabetic.
