How to remove pimples?

I tried all the lotions, creams, and facial scrub to remove blackheads. I am not referring to acne as I am far beyond being a teenager. I can still get small black spots that can only be removed with a removal tool. Are there any secret to clarify? I am a male.

Use Biore pore strips. I use them once a week. They have some of the guys too.
