Acne Inflammatory
How effective are doxycycline, minocycline, tetracycline, and in the treatment of acne?
I'm taking 200 mg of doxycycline a day for my acne mild inflammatory, and I tried to lose accutane dose before that, but failed. doxycycline, minocycline, tetracycline and teating very effective in mild to severe acne? I hope this works because I ran out of options.
I noticed very little change after starting tetracycline. I used it for about three months, and then surrendered. I would not recommend it. All in all, it was a waste of money, stained teeth (a common side effect of long-term antibiotics), and I my acne more difficult to treat because they develop resistance to antibiotics. As I have heard (and semi-experienced – although I have never tried Accutane), the only oral medication that really works is consistently high-dose Accutane regularly, otherwise just stick with things today. Good luck!
