Learn More About Body Acne! Body Acne
Body acne is very similar to facial acne in appearance. It mainly affects adults and teenagers. It is found commonly on the chest, buttocks, back and shoulders. In case, the lesions on the skin are harmful or large in size, they may take the shape of severe acne.
It can be too difficult sometimes to remove this type of acne from the skin surface. There are several causes of the occurrence. Medical experts deny the possibility of any main cause that tends to result in it.
Usually, fluctuating hormones and stress are held responsible for the occurrence. In certain cases, tight fitting clothes are responsible for the development of body acne. There are also certain objects that can result in this acne such as tight collars, back packs, cell phone and helmets.
Another cause remains common and that is occasional build up of dead skin cells, bacteria and production of sebum or oil in the skin in more than required amount. Use of synthetic fabrics and sweat are also considered to be primary causes.
When it comes to diagnosing body acne, one does not require to go for any special laboratory tests in order to determine it. At times, it can easily be detected by hormone blood tests or simple blood tests.
There are a variety of treatment options available these days. The type of treatment required depends on the symptoms exhibited by the patient. The treatment may take more time as compared to facial acne as it is more stubborn.
The back of human body consists of several sebaceous glands that can easily produce a lot of oil in order to come up with nodules and cysts. One may require to go for a course of oral antibiotics such as tetracycline or minocycline in order to eliminate body acne. In certain cases, topic treatment such as Retinoid A is also used to reduce the stubborn acne.
Prior to starting with the treatment, you need to wash the affected area with a salicyclic acid based cleanser.
Wipe of the area gently with benozyl peroxide or salicylic acid. In order to prevent the dry skin, it is important to use an alpha hydroxyl acid.
You can also go for some natural remedies when it comes to removing body acne. Here are some of the soothing oil options for treating it effectively:
a) A full teaspoon of calendula oil
b) A full teaspoon of almond oil
c) Two full teaspoons of olive oil
d) One or two drops of lavender oil
e) Two drops of tea tree oil
f) One or two drops of chamomile oil
You need to mix all the ingredients mentioned above and then pour in to a tight container. Now, take a few drops of the mixture and gently manage from it on the complete portion of the affected area.
Towards the end, use Aloe Vera gel in order to remove the inflammation and sooth the affected area.
Would it be considered "high maintenance"?
I can buy most of my clothes in the mall, and always look at the sale. at times I'm going to buy the target or goodwill. Designer has nothing except this bag that I received as a gift. I do a lot of hair, skin and makeup products, but only because I have very curly hair and sensitive dry skin prone to acne. It I need some time to prepare, but as I mentioned earlier to cover my acne (work to be lost forever) and beat frizzy hair into submission. I only eat maybe a few times a month and in places where my hand reaches $ 15 or less. I always offer to pay for me and the guys let me pay if the first offer and insist on paying. I do not expect gifts or anything. I ask because I my friends say I'm the man high maintenance and who devote time and money in my hair and skin. I explained what I explained above, but I always say no maintenance. I say this makes me a normal girl with bad genetics. What do you think?
Looks like a typical class of Middle girly-girl for me.
