Zits Jeremy
Zits Jeremy

Two unrelated comic strip questions, from the newspaper comics — please see below?
First of all, did something major happen in Jim Davis’s (Garfield) life regarding women? Remember how years ago Jon couldn’t get dates, the vet hated him and made fun of him, and so on? Now he’s dating the vet and “living the dream” — and apparently Garfield has no problem with it.
Secondly — does Bill Watterson (Calvin & Hobbes) sometimes draw for “Zits”, the teenage boy strip? Some of the “fantasy sequences”, in Jeremy’s imagination, are eerily similar to the “fantasy sequences” from Calvin’s imagination, not in content but in style.
Does anyone know for sure? Or has anyone else noticed these things?
Gee friend I have no clue, so no help here. At this point I more or less scan the funnies ( a la Dubya “reading” a book) but am no longer hooked. Anyhow, I go WAY back to Maggie and Jiggs, Brenda Starr, and Alley Oop–now those were funny. On the same subject, during WW2 NYC Mayor Fiorello la Guardia used to read the funny papers. I guess as occupied as former NY Gov. Elliot Spitzer has been, he had no time to read to the kiddies. He got hooked on something else, heh heh.
